HOPPS
Honors Outreach to Past and Perspective Students
The WWU Honors Outreach to Past and Prospective Students (HOPPS) Ambassador Program is a volunteer experience for currently enrolled Honors Students to connect with past and prospective students to share more about our academic program and involvement opportunities.
If you are interested in joining the HOPPS team to share more about your Honors experiences and connect with visiting prospective students and families, please reach out to Kiersten Horton at scrimak@wwu.edu.
Honors Info Sessions
A typical visit for a prospective student includes:
- a 30-minute info session with an Honors representative
- a student ambassador hosted lunch at one of the on-campus dining halls (this is YOU!)
- a tour of the Honors College residential community in Edens/Edens North Halls
- an optional 50-minute Honors class visit if available
HOPPS Lunches
When you participate in a HOPPS visit, Honors will guest you into the dining hall if you don't have a meal plan. Here, you can share your college experience with prospective students. We request that you show up to the Honors Center between 12:15-12:20 pm (unless otherwise directed) and we will depart for the Viking Commons dining hall around 12:30 pm when the info session portion is done.
